Why this exists.
I started Whales because I’d seen too many driveways and patios “cleaned” and walked away from. Half-done jobs. Lifted blocks. Streaks across the bricks. Moss left in the corners where the wand didn’t reach. A pressure washer is the easy part — the difference is what happens before and after.
Every Whales job starts with a proper survey of the surface, not a guess. We pre-treat the moss and the black spot so the pressure washer isn’t doing all the work. We sheet up the door frames and the flower beds. We re-sand the joints, treat the surface, and leave the site cleaner than we found it.
That’s why every Google review names me by my first name. You’re not dealing with a customer service team in another county — you’re dealing with the person who turned up. That accountability is the product.

Hyundai HYW3400 pressure washer (3400 PSI hot-water capable), rotary surface cleaner for the big sweeps, dedicated soft-wash tank with PURECHLOR 15 biocide for roofs and render, and a full set of jointing materials — Nexus ProTitan polymeric sand for premium driveways, Sika FastFix for budget patio re-sands. £2M public liability, COSHH compliant on commercial sites.
Where we work.
Based in Thrapston (NN14 4LS), we cover a 20-mile ring — Kettering, Wellingborough, Corby, Rushden, Oundle, Higham Ferrers, Raunds, Desborough, Rothwell, and the villages in between. For commercial leisure-centre work we’ll travel further — we already service Freedom Leisure sites across Northamptonshire and are happy to test-patch new operators.
