Most driveway cleans get booked in March and April. There’s a reason — and a couple of reasons it might not be right for you.
Why spring works
After a wet winter, moss and algae are at peak coverage. The driveway looks at its worst, the contrast before/after is dramatic, and warmer weather means biocide and sealer cure properly.
Why autumn is underrated
If you clean and seal in October, you go into winter with empty pores and locked joints — the moss has nothing to grab onto. We see fewer regrowth call-backs from autumn customers than spring ones.
Months to avoid
- December–February — too cold for sealer to cure properly; biocide is slower.
- Heatwaves — sealer can flash off too fast and leave streaks. We’ll usually start very early on hot days to avoid it.
